Can't sign out of my Xbox account while staying signed into Microsoft.

how do i sign out of xbox live while staying in my gamertag?

The Microsoft account website has the feature where the last account will stay signed in unless manually signed out from the logout menu.

Have you checked on all of these computers that you are logged out correctly on account.microsoft.com? If you're still signed in there, then all of the other Microsoft services will be signed into the same account.

I have two iPads in the house. My son has been playing Minecraft on one of them, and I've bought him a handful of mashups on that device, which was not signed into a Microsoft Account at the time. Now I want him to use the other iPad, but I can't access
the purchased content from the first. I have also bought a couple of mashups on that device while I was signed into my Microsoft Account, and I can only see those packs while signed in.

If I sign out on the first device and then open the Marketplace and select My Packs, I see the content I have purchased on the device. I also see a popup headed "Important!", which tells me to "Sign in with a Microsoft Account (free) and transfer your pack
entitlements and Minecoins to that account to protect and access them on any device that you sign in on".

So I click "Sign in" and then a pop-up asks "Save purchases to a Microsoft Account?" and offers two choices: "Save to a Microsoft Account" and "Leave on Device". I choose the former, and I sign in to my Microsoft Account. Again, I click "Save to a Microsoft
Account" and it loads up the marketplace showing the content from my device but NOT the content I have bought while signed into my account. And then after a few seconds, the content from my device disappears and is replaced by the content I bought while signed
into my account.

It doesn't seem able to sync the content from my device into the account. Can I force this to happen?

That's weird. You can't go onto someone else's profile without signing in. Perhaps sign out in the menu and sign in again. Or, you can stay signed out.

I haven't signed in or out manually for a while. Sometimes it asks me to sign in again then realises I'm already signed in to Microsoft and loads my account before I can enter all of my details.
