Can't sign into xbox account or add new account on series X

The issue started a few days ago and is as the title states.

I tried logging into my xbox account after work one day. The xbox would try to log into the account, a screen would pop up with a white loading wheel, then take me directly to the home screen. I would try to sign in from the home screen, same problem.

I read online that this seems to be a common issue. One suggestion was to remove the account from the xbox, so I did that. Still no luck. Every time I try to sign into an account, loading screen with white loading wheel, then straight to home.

I have hard reset the xbox, restarted the console, unplugged from the power supply, restarted the router. Nothing. I can still log into my xbox account on my old xbox one, but not my series x. Now I don't even have the option to create a new account on my series x if I wanted too. The only feature I have accessible is the home screen.

I spent an hour on the phone with support, we tried updating DNS settings, we removed my xbox account from my xbox one, I game share with a friend and had him remove my account from his xbox as well, nothing.

I know its not an internet outage, the system says its connected to the internet. I am on my computer now. My roommate is logged into his xbox. This is really strange. Has this happened to anybody? Is there an issue with my system? Everything else works fine, it turns on. I don't want to have to pay $300 for a service repair on a console that is barely a year old, especially since this seems like a common issue when I look on google. Please help.

Please try a different network, sometimes it's not precisely an error network but this helps to renew the connection

If that doesn't work

Try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

You just need to sign into the same account on the Series X and just redeem the new subscription on your account. It'll just add onto the time you already have.

Thank you for your contribution to the Microsoft community.

If you have factory reset your Xbox One, it will also reset your Xbox Series X. To fix this, you will need to sign in to your Xbox account on your Series X.

Here are the steps to sign into your Xbox account on your Series X:

1. Turn on your Xbox Series X.

2. On the sign-in screen, select "Add new".

3. Enter your Microsoft account email address and password.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the sign-in process.

Once you have signed into your Xbox account, you should be able to access your games and other content that you had on your Xbox One.

If you add the code to Account A, that account and all other accounts can play the game on the Series X since that is Account A's Home console. On the Series S, the game can only be played as long as Account A is signed in.

DLC and add-ons are linked to your account so as long as you can play the games on the new Xbox one series x then it shouldn't be a problem. Xbox had said that the Series X will be backward compatible so it is great!
