Can't share clips uploaded to xbox live

How are you going to share clips with a community your not subscribed to?

MS isn't forcing you to do anything.

Alternative buy the kit that will allow you to do it without live, (live is cheaper short term, or for getting used to it)

I'm not sure if this helps. But I changed my gamertag while this was happening, Not beforehand. The problem started about 30-40 days ago. As of today still happening, I changed my gamertag about a week ago. I'll reach out to support again though.

I've had it happen in the past that there were issues with some of the sharing functions. Don't know if there's a general problem at the moment, though.

Did you try sharing via the Xbox homepage, instead of the console itself?

Alternatively, you can always try to share your clips via external sites like https://gamerdvr.com/ . Outside of the Xbox system, though, so you'll have to use WhatsApp or e-mail to share.
I find that site much easier to manage (and download) my clips and screenshots than on the Xbox/OneDrive. Enter your gamertag and it'll automatically pull all of your shared content. Pretty neat.

It may well be related to your gamertag change. It shouldn't take 40 days to update. Maybe something went wrong in the process somewhere and this "confuses" the server. (Upload from your new tag, server still uses the old one.) It may fix itself eventually,
but I'd suggest contacting Xbox support in this case, to find out what's going on. https://support.xbox.com

I've tried sharing clips and screenshots from both the homepage, my console, as well as the app. I get the same message each time.

In regards to gamerdvr.com

I was able to see my captures and screenshots. But It was stuff from 40 days ago, before I had this problem. I couldn't see any recent captures. (Btw I changed my gamertag, its ParchedWhale#985, I don't know why it hasn't updated here yet).

So I think there is some hiccup with the cloud? I don't know. What I do know is; I'll take a ss or clip, it'll say its uploaded to xbox live and then when I go to manage my captures and share its either not on xbox live, or it is but it's not visible to
my friends/error sharing.

Thanks for the tips, I guess I'll just live with the problem since it's not really gamebreaking. I can still play I just can't share.
