Can't set profile picture to image

so basically, I've been trying to set my profile picture on my xbox to an image. The image isn't inappropriate but all day it has been saying "Don't worry, we still have your picture. You'll see it again once we've verified it's OK". it's not that it won't let me set it to any picture though. I can use another picture and it gets immediately accepted.

    Gamerpic bug?
When I take a picture using the website, it doesn't actually change the gamerpic used on my profile.

From the site:Change your gamer picture on your console in Settings, Profile, Edit Profile, Gamer Picture
It is possible to create an AVATAR gamerpic and set it as your current gamerpic. I just did it. You just cannot set an IMAGE gamerpic from this website, as in a gamerpic from a picture pack.

The Xbox profile picture system seems to be down again

Hello ☭ ✞, I am an independent advisor and I would be happy to help you today. My name is Khaji

I'm sorry you're having trouble updating your profile picture on Xbox.

Restart your console: Go to the Xbox app, select your profile, click Settings, choose Console Info, then select Reset Console. There will be a message asking if you want to Reset and delete everything or Reset and keep my games and apps

Change your profile picture via the Xbox console: Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Go to Profile & System, select your profile, and then select My Profile. Select Customize Profile > Change Player Picture. Choose your gamer image from the selection shown, or select Take a photo of my avatar or Upload a custom image

Upload a custom image: To upload a custom image, connect a USB device with the JPG or PNG image you want to use. Note: Custom images are only available for adult Microsoft accounts

Change your profile picture through the Xbox app on mobile: You can also change your gamer picture any time you want using the Xbox app on mobile. Choose from the Xbox Gamer Image Library, or add your own image directly from your mobile device

If after this you can't solve the problem, I will be here to continue helping you,
but remember and keep in mind that I am a Player just like you
than with little more knowledge regarding Software and Hardware.

Gamer picture not showing to others

Sorry to jump in here and ask, hope you don't mind.

Do profiles still have the options of having 2 gamer-pictures set up at once?. One for everyone to see and one for your friends?, If that is the case do you have 'both' pictures set to the appropriate image you wanted to use?. I only mention it because I did
it myself once :(, (I had the 'friends' image set to the wrong one:p). My bad!.

Just throwing it in in-case, I am not sure if there are still 2 GP's at once available :).

Also I am not sure if your friends would need to have their profile privacy setting set to 'member content to everyone'. There is a profile setting that prevents users seeing certain images unless this setting is correct. Not sure if that would apply here though
    tbh.

    Cheers :).

    gamer picture

Greetings! You can take a gamer picture with the Xbox LIVE Vision camera but
not the Kinect Sensor (sorry for the confusion!). Here's how:

On your console, go to Settings, and then select Profile.

    Select Edit Gamer Profile.

    Select Gamer Picture.

    Select Take Personal Picture.

Select the camera button to take a picture.

    Select Accept Picture.

Select Change Personal Picture if you want to use the new image.

Thanks, everyone! Hope this helps. As this question is quite old and has been answered I'll be locking the thread. :)
