cant set console as home xbox-please help

so I've been trying to set my Xbox as my home Xbox for my main account for a while now and so far with no success. I had 2 other accounts on the console in which I could set it as home Xbox/remove it without any problems, only with my main account I get
and error pop up stating ''unable to save changes, please try again in a while'' but it has been few months I believe and daily tries didn't help. I have 5 more switches left on this account and I've trying power cycling it, unplugging it for a few minute
then plugging it back, signing out/removing and re-adding my account, removing every account on my console, soft resetting it, factory resetting it, updating my Xbox, checked my net connection, tried other Wi-Fi networks, tried wired connection, followed peoples
tips here like changing my name on my MC account bc it might be a sync problem... everything you can possibly think of and nothing worked. its super important for be because I'm a soldier and 90% of the time I'm in base without any wireless network so I NEED
the offline features if I want to play my purchased games on breaks, and I cant use all of my data plan for opening a hot spot.

any advise will be welcomed, I am desperate at this moment

I have seen posts about people having issues with setting their account "home" on their Xbox. Since you tried alot of troubleshooting solutions I recommend requesting a call back from Xbox customer service. What region are you in?

Also, you can only change your "home" setting 5x a year. You dont get 5 changes per account you have on your Xbox.

Thanks for the update on the issue. If you have any special characters within your display name for your Xbox/Microsoft account, this has been known to cause this. You can go to the
account website and change your display name to just the alphabet. Once you do

power cycle the console and then try to change.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. We understand unable to change your home console. Are you in the Insider program? AS of the recent update people have had issues with this feature. If you are its best to report this on the

reddit forum for insiders. There also maybe a fix posted there for this issue as there have been many with it.

I am indeed a part of the insiders program but I've only joined it recently, whilst I had this problem for much much longer. I even tried exiting the program, still didn't help.

WOW. I cant believe it actually worked! while the console was loading in I was super doubtful but it actually solved it. you have no idea how much I thank you sir, so have a very pleasant night/day, what ever the gmt is at your place of staying
