Can't send or accept invites in Gears of War 4 for PC

    Can't send or accept invites in Gears of War 4 for PC


    When I send my friend an invite he never gets it, when I see his I click on it and nothing happens besides the notification and invite disappearing. The xbox app use to pop up a window but now nothing happens.

    Xbox live invites not working

    I am having trouble with my Xbox one. I can accept party invites but cannot accept game invites. I also cannot send party or game invites.

    The problem was I was on a windows insider build that broke the xbox app, I have since restored the public version...

    If that is the case, there are possibilities that the app needs an update to resolve the issue. We highly recommend that you manually update the Xbox App by uninstalling and reinstalling it.

    Here's how:

    1. Click start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.
    2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.
    3. Type the following command to uninstall Windows Store: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage
    4. Hit Enter.
    5. Launch Windows Store again and download
      Xbox App      .

    We also suggest that you use a different profile and send an invite to isolate if the issue is with the profile itself.

    Keep us updated with the results after performing the steps above.
