Can't send messages using Xbox App

I can't send any message's to my friend's on the xbox app so how can i fix it

Have you unistalled the app and reinstall back?

I tried uninstalling it then downloading the beta version, it is working for me right now, if you haven’t tried that then try it.

I have this happen to me periodically and all I have to do is sign myself out of the app then back in. Have you tried that by chance ?

Are you able to message off of the Xbox itself?

Since this is a problem on the mobile app, then it might be helpful for you to try our general troubleshooting steps for those things. I advise trying to uninstall and reinstall the app, or try restarting your phone.
