    I have just lost my email and i was trying to log in to my microsoft account but its telling me Help us protect your account

    and only shows the email option and showing me that my phone number is there but its not letting me chose it as an option how do i fix this

We understand that you are trying to access your account now and the sending of verification code to your phone is not an option. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

    Based on your description, you will be able to send a code using the email option, may we know if you have tried accessing your account on different device? Will the issue persist?

    Is your security info in pending or did you notice any error code or message while trying to sign into your account?

    May we ask if you have set two-step verification to your account?

    2. Change your password to complete the unblocking process. Use the tips in

      to create a strong password.

    Have you reset the password on the account after getting the text?

    I understand that you keep trying to use another phone but I'm inclined to believe that there's a step getting missed and the system thinks you're never completing the task it wants you too. And after enough incomplete attempts, it's blocking the phone number
    in an attempt to protect the account.

    I have multiple payments of items on MSFT store on my EE phone bill !!!

    when a charge is made via phone they send you a text which you have to respond to, this then allows something to be charged to your phone bill.

    a third party cannot do this without the text being confirmed via your phone.

    it could be an issue with your cell provider which i would call them to find out what is going on.
