    Can’t select anything - Xbox


    All of a sudden, I am unable to select anything in my Xbox. I hard reset twice with no resolution. I can select profile when started up, put in my password, then everything else is locked up. Games, menus, everything. I can’t even turn it off using the controller.

    First, welcome to the Xbox community. Given the solutions you've tried, I suggest you try the alternatives below, please.

    Solution 1:

    Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

    Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

    Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

    Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

    Solution 2:

    1. Turn off Xbox.

    2. Unplug power.

    3. Plug the power back to Xbox One 30 seconds later.

    4. Press and hold Bind and Eject at the same time (don't release).

    5. Press and release the Power button, and then you will hear the startup chime.

    6. When you hear the second startup chime, you can release the bind and eject buttons.

    7. Select Reset this Xbox on the screen.

    8. Select Keep games and apps.

    Solution 3:

    Try to update your console offline by following the instructions in the article below, please.

    Xbox support mentioned that they are aware of reports of Xbox One console startup, title update and sign-in errors. Our teams have identified the cause for our earlier issues and are continuing to address these now.
