Can't seem to refund gift purchase

First, login to the Microsoft account where the purchase was made either from account.microsoft.com or account.xbox.com. Once you are signed in, copy and paste this link

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/billing/payment-and-purchases/request-refund. Your login carries over when you are using the same device so your account will already be logged in when starting the refund form.

If that does not help try going directly to the form by clicking this link
https://support.xbox.com/en-US/forms/requestrefund.

Hello i just did some research on your problem and i think if you use this link i will attach you should be able to submit a ticket for your refund. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/billing/payment-and-purchases/request-refund

Did you try doing the request online through this system:

The person I bought a game for can't redeem the code cause he's in another country.

So I went to try to request a refund, like the virtual assistant says to do, but there's no option for that anywhere.

What am I supposed to do now?

When you purachse a gift from the store it advises you before payment that it will only be able too be redeemed in XX region XX would be the same region has you.
