Can't see subtitles in movies On my xbox one s

use vlc player from the xbox store, also make sure the subtitle file is the exact same as the video file excluding the file extension.

Not ALL of the TV shows have subtitles, so I've noticed. Same with movies. The one French movie in the game has subtitles, of course.

When I purchased a movie thru the xbox/Microsoft app it was in the French language.

There is no option for me to change it to English, the subtitles are either off or in French. Within this version of the movie I can't change the audio to my preferred English.

I don't speak French.

I've tried deleting the movie of my system and when I try and buy the same one in English, it tells me I already have that movie BUT the one it's referring to is the deleted French movie.

My questions are......

1. How do I permanently the French movie?

2. How do I buy the same movie again in english?

when you go to purchase the movie,etc, youll get to a page that shows you the prices per format, to the right of the screen youll see the synopsis, and over it youll see : English with no subtitles, French with no subtitles.
