Can’t “Save to Microsoft Account” on Minecraft Bedrock for Nintendo Switch

Im trying to sign into my microsoft account on minecraft on my nintendo switch and i’ve got to the screen where it asks you if you want to save to a microsoft account or not and I do want to but when i select it nothing happens

To set up Bedrock Edition on your Nintendo Switch for free after purchasing Java Edition in January 2022, you will need to follow these steps:

Log in to your Mojang account on the official Minecraft website.

Go to your account settings and look for the "Claim your free copy of Minecraft" option.

Select the "Redeem" button next to the Nintendo Switch option.

You will be prompted to enter your Nintendo Switch account details.

Once you have entered your Nintendo Switch account details, the Bedrock Edition will be added to your account.

Go to the Nintendo eShop on your Switch and search for "Minecraft."

Download and install the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft.

Same problem here, exactly. They must be aware of it. It needs to be fixed urgently and it would really help of someone acknowledged the problem. Also, when they tell you to delete the game and reinstall, be aware that you will lose all your saved games.

Exact same thing happening with me... I try to sign I want to save purchases to my microsoft account, it won’t do it. It “pretends to”. ON Switch aswell. Needs a fix asap!

Have you tried restarting the game and the console? Have you uninstalled and then reinstalled the game to try and log in again? Does the game completely freeze when selecting the button?

It's also very important to make sure that you also have an Xbox Live Gamertag created with your Microsoft account to make sure your purchases link. You can sign in with your Microsoft account at https://www.xbox.com/en-US/ or
you can download the Xbox app for mobile devices and sign in there to create a Gamertag.

Im doing this during the setup and the FAQ only says that logging in will transfer purchases from other bedrock platforms and not about what to do if your having trouble logging in
