Can't Run XBox App On PC With ARM - What Options Do I Have?

I have just purchased Flight Simulator Deluxe thinking it would run on my MAC Mini M1 (ARM) running Parallels and Windows 11.

Because of the ARM Architecture, XBox App For PC installs but will not run, therefore unable to use FS.

I am hearing that I may be able to run my FS through XBox Cloud. I am not sure how this may work, thus this question.

I have no physical XBox Console to use either.

So, what options are open to me that will allow me to run Flight Simulator on my PC?

To expand, The M1 is running anything x86 under emulation, which tends to interfere with secure apps

A PC is not a Mac, and Apple stopped using the x86 architecture that made them compatible

You'll need to run the game through the browser, or purchase a PC or Xbox. You would require a Game Pass Ultimate subscription to stream from the cloud.

Id like to warn you that only the standard controller works with the cloud, no joysticks ,yoke,or pedals at this time during the beta

Hi,

Xbox Streaming is a subscription only service, you can't stream owned games on it.

Unless you have desire to buy a capable gaming PC or an Xbox Series S or X, you're better off requesting a refund.

well as arm is not a supported architecture for windows 11 and that most of the games in the xbox app require x32 or x64 you will have issues even in a virtual environment. the xbox app places the games in a secure folder, this folder has to be on an ntfs drive or it will not work.

I keep hearing this, but the new Surface Pro X is running the SQ1 and 2 chips which are based on ARM and those devices run Windows 11. Do those devices not run the Xbox games either? I can't believe MS would do that...

You're running Windows on a PC with an ARM based processor, PC game pass requires a PC running an Intel or AMD processor and for most games, a dedicated graphics card. Your system has neither.

The ARM based systems are not supported. Emulation isn't an option, now or in the future.

Xcloud can be used on a PC, but it's only avaliable to Xbox Insiders at the moment.

i did hear they were to be trialling xcloud via pc soon, not sure when but obviously as the surface is a pc technically that should work on there.

Surface Pro X is ARM64 architecture, so a “standard” PC app for xCloud would have to be either 32-bit and run in emulation, or ported to ARM to work.

but they sell it as the flagship tablet/pc, im insider on alpha skip ring on xbox and beta tester untill the moment for xcloud (stream app and now Game Pass app) if they have add developed on arm for android and i think port this app to windows ARM have
to be easier than build it from 0.
