    Can't retrieve old gamertag


    So I have a bit of a complicated problem. I was having trouble updating Skyrim V on my Xbox one and when I looked it up, it said I needed to restart my console. I did that and of course, I had to put in all my details again including my microsoft email and
    password. I couldn't remember my password so I reset it but I still used the same email. For some reason, that gave me an entirely new profile and gamertag which means that all my game saves have disappeared, presumably on my original profile. My problem is
    that I can't seem to find a way to get back to my first profile and thus all the saved game data. I still remember my old gamertag. I can't add a new account because like I said above, I used the same email for this new one. Can anyone help?

    Hi all this has me stumped wonder if anybody out there has a solution i have recently upgraded to xbox 1 and unfortunately couldn't retrieve gamertag email details so set up a new one.. Since then i have managed to retrieve old gamertag now... Can i add

    Retrieving old Version1 Xbox live account Gamertag

    Hi,

    My current Gamertag is "" although my old gamertag I had was "Ragin".

    I would like to retrieve my old Gamertag if possible although phone support etc has been unable to assist me as it was connected to a xbox live version 1 account.

    I have emails to an old email address [REMOVED - DO NOT POST EMAIL OR MICROSOFT ACCOUNT] from Xbox live support back in 2005 etc if any proof is required that I was the owner of the old account. I no longer use that email address etc.

    I was told to contact "Enforcement" on the forums to see if there was any way to retrieve my old gamertag.

    You can only have one email attached to a gamertag for signing in purposes so the email that was attached to your original profile is different then the one that you have on the new profile we do not have access to your account information her in the forums
    you can contact xbox support either at 1800 4 my xbox and give them your gamer tag and if they can verify your ownership of the account then they can tell you what email address is associated with your original gamer tag.

    First, it is important to ask that please refrain from sharing personal information, including email addresses, gamertags, phone numbers, etc.

    As community users like you, we are not able to enter or check your account information, and everything we comment can be seen by anyone on the internet.

    That being said, if you don’t recall the email address. You may want to try recovering your account by submitting the account recovery form but using instead a previously created Skype username (is not the same as our gamertag), or by using a previously linked phone number.

    https://support.xbox.com/contact-us     for more assistance with this. So long as you can supply some accurate information for the account they may be able to give you the email. From there you would need to change the password for the account.

    It may be impossible as my fellow Ambassador mentioned, someone may have it now? I had a similar issue where I lost my gametag, and you may have to get a new one, unfortunately (sad face). Contact Support and see what transpires, I hope you get it back
