Can't Retrieve Flight Simulator X Key

I'm trying to retrieve my game key for Flight Simulator X via the GFWL client. I stored the installer on my hard drive years ago, but I lost my CD key and the client just says "an unknown error occurred" when trying to retrieve it.

My product key to flightsim x does not work anymore

I have problems with installing Flightsim X on my computer. I had the simulator for several years, and I'v replaced my mainboard in the computer. Then the game does not approve my Microsoft flight simulatror X product key. How to fix this problem without
bying a new game?

Don't remember parental account linked with LIVE account

Microsoft Flight Simulator X is a free game, you can make a new account that's not connected to any parental account and simply get the key from there and then enter it in on your main account, it wouldn't matter either way.

Flight Simulator X isn't. That is an old game. However Microsoft Flight Simulator is.
