    Can't remove The Surge, Xbox Beta app doesn't uninstall fully.


    Been trying to fix this for about 4 hours now.

    I tried to uninstall the Wins 10 version of the game though the Xbox Beta app, but all it does it remove the shortcut from the app itself. Now the folder and the DLC folders inside Windows App say they are 0 in size, but it's still taking up space on my drive. Plus I can't install The Surge again, as it gives an error message, both through the App, and Windows Store.



    Trying to delete the folders gives me this message.



    error 0x80070780: the file cannot be accessed by the system



    Been trying for hours to figure how how to remove the files, from scans to disk checks to clean boot to files deleters, but nothing works.



    It's starting to look like I might have to format the HDD and fully reinstall windows 10, which I'm not sure I can, seeing as I bought this OS as a OEM copy when I bought my computer.



    Does anyone know what I could possibly do?

    Your next option would be to uninstall the Xbox beta app, games too, and this should remove any left over files from the Xbox beta app. These files are stored in a folder with restricted permissions, so any left over files can't be deleted manually. I
    know this is not ideal, but if there are left over files creating issues then this would be a way to remove them.

    XBox One App Does not open

    I used the version that was on the computer after the Nov update of Windows 10. I checked for additional updates but none were found. I then removed the Xbox One app and downloaded and installed the beta app. It had the same problem, so I uninstalled it
    and reinstalled the original app. I can't tell you the version because I can't get that far into the app to check.

    I will reinstall the beta version and report the problem there.

    Make sure the app is fully updated.

    If it is, uninstall the app and reinstall it.

    If that doesn't work its most likely that the app need a patch.
