    Hi there,

    based on the error message, it could be caused that your friend Gifted this via Xbox Live.

    If your friend gifted this from a different country region, then I'm afraid you can't do anything about it.

    In such case, your friend needs to contact Xbox Support via Phone (or Chat) to try and get the gift refunded.

    A Gifted code can only be used in the country region it's purchased in, this is mentioned before the purchase is made.
