so xbox minecraft code cant be used to redeem java minecraft?

I just bought Minecraft as a gift through the Xbox store for my child and my child redeemed it on their account. Unfortunately I just realized that the version I bought was the Xbox version. My child has a Mac so they cannot even play it.



I submitted a refund request but I am worried that because it's a redeemed gift purchase the refund will get denied. Do I have any options, i.e. paying the difference on my kid's account to switch to the PC/Java version, or getting the redeemed gift reversed so I can buy the correct option?

Yes it will almost guaranteed get denied due to it being redeemed.

There is no way to reverese it being redeemed and there is unfortunately no way to simply pay the difference to switch to a different version

creating a child account. This usually is a $1.00 charge that is returned to the card.

While trying to login into a server in minecraft for android

There is no adult account for my child account so I cant change my child account setting. I want to purchase something but cant since i cant find my adult account. When i press on family, it only comes up with my child account.
