Can’t redeem gift code

The recipient can give the code to someone else to redeem. Or, they can ask you to
return the item for a refund. The recipient can’t return or exchange the gift code.

The specific error you receive (‘not eligible, try redeeming on another site’) indicates that you either can’t apply it to your account (like if it’s only for new subscribers and you’ve had a subscription before) or you’re redeeming it in the incorrect place. Hello,

I gifted my friend Sea of Thieves and he cant redeem the code. We both live in the same country, but its still not letting him redeem the game. Any solutions?

Here is the issue

Xbox regions are not continents but countries

So british codes will not work in france nor will us codes work in canada

Hes goimg to have to post himself the issue since we need the error code

You can request a call back or live chat on the Xbox support website. If you are facing any issues with that, please go through Microsoft support. Once you get to the virtual agent just say “Talk to an agent” and select Xbox as the product, and your issue from the list. Select the option “Call me back” or “Live chat”, which shows the estimated wait time/queue. If you don't see the options to request a call back or chat with support, change your category/topic until you do. If it does not work, please select billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge".
