Can't redeem code

    Can't redeem code


    I puchased Gears of War 4 on 26th Dec and on the 4th of January I received the 4 free codes of the previous games for xbox 360 but will work on xbox one because of backwards compatibility.

    I have redeemed them but the code for gears of war 3 does not work. When I try to redeem it on my xbox I get an error telling me that my chosen language is not good and I need to choose another one which makes no sense as I bought Gears of War 4 from the
    UK Store and my chosen language and region is English and UK and when I try to redeem it on the xbox website I get this error code;

    XBOS-3012

    f91aabdc-ebe3-46ec-af2d-499ce7f3e261

    Can anyone help me?

    Need help redeeming my xbox live code

    I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

    so what the... what do I do now?

    does anyone else have a code they are not using.

    the codes i had yesterday would not work. i assume you simply redeem them on the marketplace "redeem code" section

    Can't redeem code

    It doesn't matter if you choose the uk

    If your account region doesn't match your actual location it won't work

    So if you are using uk console setting and language but physically live in France and have an French account it won't work

    Language independence doesn't apply to 360 games

    It would have to be

    UK account region and uk physical region and uk language and console region and yes all must match

    Your account region can be found at commerce.microsoft.com

    If it's not uk but us or France etc doesn't matter

    Then you must use the region migration tool and use your actual region and language settings

    Once you redeem a code, it is linked to the gamertag that activated it. You can't redeem the same code on another gamertag.

    You can't. Once a code has been redeemed then it can't be refunded.

    You can't change the code's region. You can only redeem codes that are meant for the region there are for. So if you are in the USA, then you can only redeem codes for the US region.
