Can't Redeem Battlefield 1 code that came with Xbox one s

Hi All, trying to redeem a code that came with my Xbox one s, its on a card and is for battlefield 1 I get the below error. I have used codes in the past without issue I also tried to redeem online received the same error message but gives me no other information.....

Cannot Redeem Game Code

Hi,

I have a Battlefield 1 code that came on a card with my Xbox One. I'm unable to redeem the code.

When I enter it into the Xbox or a computer browser I get an error:

"Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different web page."

I've definitely entered the code correctly. Can somebody please help me?

Hi Xbox team, I recently bought an Xbox One S which comes with Battlefield 1 game, by the way, I also own an black Xbox One console. I was trying to redeem the digital game on my first Xbox One as all my games and saves are stored there. while redeeming
i received this error "Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different web page." So I went online in my pc and logged in to my account and had same error. Please help

Sorry to hear it. Where did you get the console and code from? Which country do you live in and is your gamertag set for the same country?

 

Had the exact same issue with a just bought new Xbox One S. Bought in Christchurch, New Zealand, and my microsoft account and gamertag should align with that too. Would love to know if anyone finds a fix

Sorted. Try redeeming your xbox one EA access code, restarting your xbox or PC, and then redeeming B1.

 

I had the exact same problem with Battlefield 1, so I was told to try this. Log into xbox.com with the account you are using to redeem the code, then type this into your address bar at the top or the bottom of your browser (I recommend Edge)

https://account.xbox.com/PaymentAndBilling/RedeemCode?doRedeem=0&token=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX and replace the x's with your code. It's what I did and it worked for me.

 

I found the solution, you need to enter First the code of EA Access trial, but I did not have that code so I bought a month of EA Access and then reedeem the code of BF1, and it worked

install xbox phone application (android) and redeem from there.

 

There was a similar answer posted before, but that url was wrong (probably changed over time)

I just talked to someone at customer support and they helped me resolve the issue. This is a bug in Microsoft's code. It appears that it's been around for quite a while and nobody's fixed it yet.

But you can work around it by going to a link like this

where XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX is replaced with the code you're attempting to redeem (all uppercase/numbers with dashes!)

I'm hoping that this helps people resolve this issue in the future. If it does, please upvote to let me know. I always try to give back to the community and help others.

After chatting with a customer support rep, I have the correct url here. This worked for me as of July 13 2017

Same as you did, replace the XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX with the prepaid code (all uppercase/numbers with dashes)
