    Can't redeem an Xbox Game Pass Core Gift Card


    I tried redeeming a game pass core 1 month gift card and I can't redeem it. It says that I'm one step closer and to use any payment method for auto renewal. I always use the account balance for it because I don't have any sort of available e wallet that I can use. However, when I tried to use my Microsoft account balance, it said that it was not available for the purchase. What do I do

    What happens if I redeem a Xbox game pass ultimate code while having an active game pass core membership?

    It would convert the remaining Game Pass Core to Ultimate at a ratio of 3:2.
    That would be a problem because i didnt redeem my game pass core with a gift card. My dad pays it automatically every month.

    To simplify, Gold was discontinued and became Game Pass Core. If he redeems the 3 month Gold card, he will have Game Pass Core.

    My Gift Card does not work

    As far as i know you can't purchase subscriptions with gift card balance, you need a PayPal or Credit/debit card, as the purchase is a reoccurring one. You can also purchase gift cards specificly for live and game pass, just a heads up.

    Once upon a time you couldn't use a Xbox gift card to purchase Xbox Gold but now you can. However, a credit/debit, paypal is needed for the reoccurring fee.
