Can't redeem 12M subscription code

    Can't redeem 12M subscription code


    I bought an Xbox Live 12M membership but I have trouble redeeming the code, even though I entered it correctly. Here's the error message that I got when I tried redeeming using the website..

    "Something went wrong
    Sorry about that. Give it a try in a while."

    Yes, I've tried so many times but it still won't work! Can't redeem 12M subscription code :(

    "This code isn't valid. Please enter a valid code."

    It doesn't make sense because I'm quite certain I've entered the code correctly..

    According to
    'this page'     it says that you should contact support about this issue. Though before you do that, it might be worth just checking your billing information is all up to date and correct.

    If everything looks fine then I would try again in an hours time and if by that point, it is still not working, I would call support and have them look into it for you. They should be able to identify the problem if there is something wrong with the account.

    Okay so I logged into my account and clicked billing, and here's how it went..

    Did you request a security info change?

    I clicked "Yes, it was me", and this was the error message that showed afterwards "We aren't ready for you yet, your account is still in the waiting period."

    So I presume that the reason why I can't redeem the code is that I requested a password change a while ago? I mean, do I have to wait until the waiting period is over so that I can redeem the code?

    Thank you for trying to help. I'm still kind of lost here though..

    12M Xbox Live Code can't be used

    Hi there

    you can only add subscriptions to a max of 36 months in the future, which is why you can't add the 12M since your current subscription ends at 12th Oct 2019, when adding a year if will be more then 36 months from now.

    That is the reason for the error code. You'll have to wait until adding that won't result in 36 months in the future, so in this case it is best to try and redeem again in Novembter 2017.

    You can also always just redeem the 12m code and it will stop the month to month bill for the next year.
