Can't recover microsoft account

Good evening,

My wife has recently been locked out of her account for xbox due to "suspicious activity". Unfortunately due to no longer having access to the number that was on the account for verification codes, she couldn't receive a text message to unlock it - necessitating use of the god awful recovery form. This is a very old account, aspects of which are no longer used or have been so seldom used that it's ridiculous to expect someone to remember the kind of details asked. This is compounded by the fact that when she initially made the account it was under her maiden name, which she updated on xbox but for some reason this didn't change on her outlook account so every recover attempt is a complete guessing game.

Is there any other way to recover this account? A specialised team we can speak to? Honestly, she would be more than happy with just getting access to her xbox account again as all of her games, progression, add-ons etc are on there representing thousands of hours of play time and hundreds of pounds of content.

My microsoft account was closed by the hacker so I can't recover it.

Unfortunately if you have filled out the form and are unable to recover the account your best option is going to be creating a new account. If you haven't already, I suggest reaching out to
Phone/Chat support as they me able to look a little bit more into your account situation. Because this a public forum, I'm afraid that's not something we can look
into here.

It is only possible to recover your account by filling the form, or recovering access using your recovery e-mail. If Microsoft can't prove the ownership of your account through that form, it is unlikely that you'll be able to recover it.
