    Can't purchase Minecraft as a gift


    I'm trying to purchase Minecraft for my son. On his account he requested permission, on my account I clicked to "Accept" and then complete the purchase. It then says:

    "We’re having trouble processing your payment and we’d like to get it sorted out. Get more info"

    Which takes me to a useless page saying to make sure my account isn't suspended, my card has enough funds, etc. None of that is the case. I waited almost 40 minutes to get on a support chat, after taking forever clicking links going in circles getting absolutely nothing helpful. The person on the chat then gave me a link to some Business Sales Support where it wants to know my "company size" to request a sales call. I'm not a business and I do not want a phone call. I just want someone to fix the problem.

    I've tried purchasing multiple times, from three different devices (two computers and one phone), also tried in incognito and using different browsers. The issue is NOT on my end, it's on yours.

    I'm not going to continue clicking links and picking generic options from drop-down menus only to get a list of solutions that don't solve the problem, so please don't respond here with another link because I guarantee you I've been there and it went nowhere. I'm trying to buy a game, which I've actually purchased multiple times already for myself, from the Google Play Store, and on XBox.

    It's been impossible to get any help anywhere on this horrid company's website so I'm posting here. Can someone with access to the problem-solving button please just fix whatever is going on in the backend? I don't need anymore links to self-help articles, the problem is 10000% not on my end.

    Like, JFC I'll just tell my son to keep playing it on the Switch if you don't want to sell your game to me again....

    Please someone respond and let me know when it's fixed and I can try the purchase again.

    I have tried every form of payment. As well as updating billing address, different browser etc. The error message is 'We’re having trouble processing your payment and we’d like to get it sorted out.' Contact Microsoft Support

    "Check if your payment method is up to date and has sufficient funds. You can do this by signing in to your Microsoft account and going to the Payment & billing section. From there, you can view and update your payment options.

    If your payment method is up to date and has sufficient funds, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

    1. Clear your browser cache and cookies. This can help resolve any temporary issues with your browser that may be causing the payment processing error.

    2. Try using a different payment method. If you have multiple payment options saved to your account, try using a different one to see if the issue persists.

    3. Log out and log in again. If you are able to open MS Store, open MS Store> Click on your profile picture on to right and sign out. Then sign in again.

    4. Check your funds and re-establish a payment method. Make sure that it has the correct account or credit number, CVV number, name, billing address, and expiration date on the payment options page.

    Is there any way that I can do to purchase Minecraft Windows 10 Edition? I can only go to the local Retail Stores and the only available Giftcard is the Google Play Giftcard.

    What device are you trying to purchase it on?
    Well, I'm trying to purchase Minecraft Windows 10 Edition so it should be on PC. But that's not really the case, whether I purchase it through mobile or PC, it's still gonna go through the Microsoft Store Payment Method and it seems like I can't use the
    Gift Card Redeeming Method by redeeming Google Play Giftcards. I guess I just can't purchase and play Minecraft then, rip.

    Minecraft: Java Edition can't be purchased through the Microsoft store (Microsoft.com or Xbox console) and so you won't be able to use a Microsoft/Xbox gift card to purchase the game (both physical and digital gift card codes).

    One of the alternative ways to purchase Minecraft is for your parent to sign into the Microsoft store and buy Minecraft as a gift, which will send a gift code to the email address associated with your account (child) account. You can then follow the instructions in the email to redeem the gift code in the Microsoft store and download and install Minecraft. See How to Give Minecraft as a Gift through Email for more information.
