    I am not allowed to purchase anything but free content on my Xbox One. Yet I can purchase anything I want on my Xbox 360. I have tried every single existent way of accessing my parent account.

    I am 17, so I used my real age when I first got Xbox live. I didn't think it would be an issue. I made a parent account, however. I haven't needed to use it ever since I created it, which was a few years ago. I can not remember the password after hours of
    attempts. and Microsoft's password reset strategies are probably more difficult than defusing a bomb,so they're basically impossible and not a great help at all, to be brutally honest. Then I tried making another Microsoft account to switch to, but I can't
    even switch Microsoft accounts linked to my Xbox account because i'm a "Child"

    I just purchased my Xbox One a week ago, and I really wanted to buy some DLC for AC: Black Flag that was 99 cents, and Minecraft. But sadly, and unfortunately. I have absolutely no way to purchase it. so if anyone can help me in this, it would be greatly
    appreciated. I also just recently purchased a 15 dollar pre-paid card, thinking it would bypass purchases by making them look "free" since I had more than enough money added to my account. I'd really rather not wait an entire year to get things. Help me out
    Microsoft, i'm actually trying to give you money but you just WON'T TAKE IT.

    And some additional information, I can't access parental controls or Privacy Settings or anything because I need my Parent Account to sign in, but the problem is I have absolutely NO way of getting on the parent account. I wish they would just simply message
    lost adult passwords to our gamer tags or something.

    Society today worries too much about restricting things Mommy doesn't want us to see 'till we're 18, but Daddy shows us when we're like 8.

    Xbox live billing is stupid

    I would just like to point out how stupid the Xbox live gold billing system is. I just went out and bought a $25 gift card for XBOX LIVE and I can't use it to purchase XBOX LIVE SURVICE!!! I can't use the money I just put on my account to by survice for
    my account? Then what is the point of even having xbox gift cards in the first place if you can't even use the for everything Xbox related.

    i bought a 12 month gold Xbox gift card for my son for his 10th birthday and I can't get it to work. Really pissed that I wasted $59.99 for nothing. I would like either the card activated or my money back. Please help

    If the gift card or the money is in your Microsoft account or it's an Xbox gift card, unfortunately you can't use it for this purchase :c

    Unfortunately there's no list or anything that will show what can and can't be paid for that way.

    There's no way to add currency to an account directly from Microsoft. You would purchase an Xbox gift card digitally and add the code to add money to the account.
