Can't pre-order Destiny Rise of iron for xbox one

Been trying to pre-order Destiny Rise of iron for xbox one but it just says coming soon?

Destiny Rise of Iron issue

I seem to be getting something different.

I can't easily find "Destiny: Rise of Iron" in the store pages without doing a manual search for "Rise of Iron".

I get an add-on page for ROI, but there's no purchase/pre-order options. There's only a message that says "(!) Destiny: Rise of Iron is currently not available."

 

Who is going to get the Rise of Iron DLC?

unless you pre-odered it at Gamestop no one can pre-order Destiny Rise of Iron on XO

We are unsure when Microsoft will start accepting pre orders, that's just a case of waiting.

You can pre order now from third party providers and when Rise of Iron releases they will most likely email you a code for store credit or a digital download code, but not before it is available.

All pre orders will get the Iron Gjallarhorn and digital downloads do not run out, so as long as you order before release, even if it is the day before, you'll get what you want.

I'm starting to think that it's Activision holding it away from XBOX. They already hit us hard with Year long exclusives.

 

You know, Bungie, once they got out from under Microsoft, became really bad about the Playstation exclusive stuff. Xbox was what put them on the map as THE premier developer with the Halo series and now they're treating us like second day news. I have
both versions, but I play the Xbox One version exclusively because the Xbox One has better controllers for that type of game. The PS4 ones are too small and they are hard to use for extended periods of time for people with larger hands. Besides, triggers.
Anyway, I think it really sucks that they won't allow us to pre-order the last expansion prior to ship day because of that.

Today is August 23rd and I still can't download the Rise of Iron pre-order for Destiny. I have all the other expansions for the game. I am currently light level 332 on the taken king expansion yet when I go to the Xbox store and try to buy/download the Rise
of Iron I get the same message saying something along the lines of "its currently unavailable, try again later". My concern is that since my brother and I share an Xbox as our home console its causing a problem with my purchases on the store. I have been scouring
the forums for answers because I would hate to miss out on all the benefits of the pre-order. From what I've been able to gather, the problem is deriving from the fact that its not recognizing my account as having purchased the Taken King expansion. I hope
this is a issue that gets addressed soon. Microsoft and Sony are on the same boat since I've heard its also been happening to PlayStation 4 customers.
