    I keep getting the same error code: 0x00000001 when I try to install Gears 5 I can install every other game just fine just Gears 5 gives me problems I've tried everything to reinstalling to clean boot etc nothing is working I wonder why I'm paying for
    Ultimate game pass for a game I can't even install Please help?

    I'm getting error codes as well, but just on the pc, installed on console fine.

    my game services app won't update as well, don't know if it's related.

    Unable to Pre-Load Gears 5 on PC

    I purchased game pass ultimate for PC, and the Xbox Beta app gives me the option to pre-load Gears 5 in preparation for the early release tomorrow.

    Unfortunately, the game is stuck at 0% (Preparing) and never advances. I have cancelled and restarted the download, but it wont install at all after that. I click install, it asks for the desired install drive, and I click okay. Then the button goes from
    "Preparing" back to "Install" instantly.

    I'm very excited about this game but pretty irritated that Xbox Owners can pre-load, but the PC owners cannot. Please help.

    Also, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have access to the Ultimate Edition of Gears 5.

    Seems like Gears 5 needs to be installed using the Xbox PC Beta App. Please check if your Windows 10 is version 1903 or not. If it is an earlier build the Xbox App does not seem to install. i have this problem with my Surface Book 2 which cannot update to
    1903 due to an issue with that build and the surface line. This means i cannot install the Xbox PC app, and as a result i cannot install Gears 5.

    The store on a regular computer links to your Xbox App on PC which shoudl allow you to install it.

    Are you using the Xbox Beta app to install Gears 5? You need to use the Xbox Beta app, not the Windows Store app.
