cant play Team Deathmatch, it keeps defaulting to "search and destroy"

So this is a known issue with the game, Its caused by people 'Hacking' The game, there is sadly very little you can do. Looking on other forums people have noted that turning the console on and off might help, some have also said if you keep searching it
might work.

As Modern warfare 2 is not supported by their Devs there is unlikely to be any patches to resolve this. Feel free to contact https://support.xbox.com/ if you are still unsure

what do i need to do to play the Team Death Match. I hate the search and destroy where you cant respawn.

If you are referring to Call of Duty it works differently in different games.

In Modern Warfare this is what you will have to do. Select the quick play playlist filter to the right of the playlist, this should show you the CORE game modes in a filter view. Select all the game modes you do not want to play leaving just Team Deathmatch.
Now when you back out of that and select quick play, it should only put you into TDM lobbies.

If it is Black Ops 4, then you can simply just go into multiplayer, go to the game mode selector, select CORE and then select TDM. This will put you into a TDM lobby.
