Can't Play RDR2. Won't Launch

Trying to launch RDR2 on XboxOne. Game is digitally installed and downloaded on my xbox. No problem playing since it was released. Played earlier this afternoon. Now when I go to launch it, I get a message "Try again in a while. Sorry looks like our
service isn't working right. To Check xbox live service status go to support.xbox.com" When I check Xbox live service, it shows everything is running normal.

I paid for the game and downloaded it to my xbox. Why can't I play it? If everything is running normal why doesn't it launch?

live and rdr2 down...what happened

Yes I can only play offline and Xbox live status says there is something wrong with both rdr2 and live content use. I have rdr2 and cannot play until released I have it downloaded since last Friday, but that is what it says on the Xbox.com.....I want to
play NHL 19 why I can't I play that. seems like its down to online play.....

I really want to play RDR since I never played it before and RDR2 looks amazing, but I don't really want to pay $30 for it. I'm holding out for a big discount or Game Pass, so I'll actually probably wait for that and play RDR first before I play RDR2.

 

There is currently a service alert up affecting the ability to play digitally downloaded games but Xbox is aware and working to fix it Xbox Support on Twitter

 

How long do you suspect this will take?

 

Guess this is the last game I buy digitally...

Im sure it has mothing to do with you buying it digitally

 

We already paid the companies for these games and to not be able to play them is more than a little messed up. And just a few days before this people weren't able to play the backwards compatible games they purchased. Microsoft isn't a new company, they've
been doing this for awhile but ever since this xbox one generation they have been tripping so nanm times and its the gamers that pay for it.
