Can't play pre-loaded Forza 4 game from used console I have just purchased

Hi

Unfamiliar with Xbox and bought used one s console from online seller and box says Forza horizon four preloaded but won't play and asks for original account purchaser but understood it was preloaded so is it that we need his profile to transfer ownership
before we can play or is there something in settings I can do? Thanks. Andy

Consoles do not come with games preloaded. The game would have been bought or redeemed on the original owner's account. Digital game ownership cannot be transferred, so you would need to purchase the game in order to be able to play it.

Okay feel a little cheated as was part of the reason I bought this console from them as thought it would come with it. Might go back and see if I can get some money back.

If the game was pre-loaded when you bought the console, then someone had most likely used the console before you and used the code. If it was just recently purchased, you would have to try contacting the retailer you purchased it from for an exchange.

I'm having the same problem as Sneak Attack. I just finished playing MW3 just fine, go to load forza 4 and instantly get disconnected from live as soon as the game loads.

I think what you are suggesting is just letting everyone pre-load the game. This would possibly increase the cost for developers or microsoft for the bandwidth to allow everyone to pre-load.

How would you verify that someone pre-purchased the game from a retailer to stop everyone from pre-loading? Not that I am against it, just one of the questions that came to mind.
