Cant Play on 2 Consoles At the Same Time?

The procedure described in the thread you shared refers to playing with two different accounts on two different Xbox consoles to share the games from one account with the other console in the same household.

Take in mind that it is not possible to play with the same account on two different consoles simultaneously, which is why, when you are playing on one, if you start a game on the other with the same account, the message you mentioned appears.

Hello again Brad, I apologize, I had not realized that the author of the other thread was you, I thought it was a thread from another user.

From what I see, everything is configured correctly, and it should allow you to play on different accounts.

Just to recap, account A (where things were purchased) needs to be set as the Home Xbox on account B (https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox) so that any account on console B has access to account A's purchases. On the other hand, account A will need to play with that account on console A to access the games (no other account will have access to the games on that console).

Please try logging out of account A on console B, if it has already been set as the Home Xbox, logging out of that account won't affect it since Home Xbox will still apply. Run a game from your account A on console A and have account B launch a game on console B (with account A logged out of that console).

It can be a bit confusing, I hope I made myself understood, but yes, it seems that you have everything configured correctly, so it seems strange to me that it's not working.

Hi, I did the above and on Console B, when I tried to launch a game for Account B it said that the person who owns this games needs to be logged in, which would be Account A. What do we do from here please as getting a little frustrated now! Thanks.

Yes I understand that but thats not what I am doing. On Console A (Dads) I am using Account A (Dads) and on Console B Home Xbox (Sons) I have logged onto Account A (Dads) but playing on Account B (Sons). This is how I was advised to set up the consoles via a previous thread which I linked below. Thanks.

Once more, it seems unusual to me because if you had previously set console B as Home Xbox using your account A, it should allow all accounts on that console B to use the games and subscriptions from your account A, even if account A is not signed in on that console B.

Just to confirm, are you absolutely certain that you have set up the Home Xbox on console B with your account A as follows?

Settings > General > Personalization > My home Xbox > Make this my home Xbox.

I assume you have, but it doesn't hurt to double-check to rule out any confusion or oversight.
