Can’t play MW2 even tho I brought it and installed it??? Warzone works but everything else doesn’t. I have tried resetting Xbox, I’ve uninstalled multiplier and installed. Still don’t work. When going to play the modernwarfare it’s telling me I need to buy game pass or Xbox live gold. But I already have Xbox live. And I own the game. I have checked my transactions and the payment for the game is complete also. I tried to even buy game pass and it doesn’t even let me do that it comes up with “try that again. Something happens on our end. Waiting might help”. I have tried to contact support and I can’t get through. I have also tried to get them to call and it just keeps saying “error”. This is really annoying as I just paid £69.99 for the game, waited 12 hours to install and I can’t even play it. If someone could help, I would really appreciatei this. Thanks in advance!

It lets me play campaign offline but just can’t play multiplayer asks for game pass or Xbox live. But I have all these. So weird.

Hello Davis, try to remove games from quick resume, and follow the procedures below.

The first is a clear cache

1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

The backward compatible game issue has been affecting more users, there is no official confirmation about what is causing it.

Some players successfully fixed the issue by changing the Port Selection on the connection settings, from automatic to manual.

Go to Profile and System > Settings > General > Network Settings > Advanced Settings> Alternate Port Selection > Manual > Choose any from the Menu starting with a 4 or 5 (Example: 49215 or 57165).
