Can't play multiplayer even though I don't have a parent account

So my main issue is I'm trying to play multiplayer minecraft but the privacy settings are not letting me play. I go to allow them but it takes me to the family screen and all of the things I am finding online say that a parent has to enable them. Problem is there is no parent account. It's just this account and it won't let me change it, I just keep getting the same link back to the same help screen that, surprise surpise, is the exact opposite of helpful

Change your Date of birth that is the only possible reason ... if it's less than 18 yo that would be the answer to all your problems

. also if you're in a family leave it first then try what i mentioned first. hope this helps

OK, so we have managed to get rid of the parent controls, but I still can't enter Multiplayer, even though I have set the Multiplayer settings in my Microsoft account to be allowed

Sorry but once an account has been added to Live (even as a Silver account) it cannot be changed back. Don't worry though, he can't access online multiplayer without a Gold membership.

I don't have access to the Parental Account so I can't get rid of it. I can't even go into My Account at xbox.com because I need to agree to the terms and conditions, which I can't because I don't have access to the Parent Account. I have an ongoing XBox
live Gold Membership tied to this account which I would like stopped and I can't actually do that.

When I try to access My Account at xbox.com it says I've found a glitch and brings up an error page.

Trial codes don't change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. They will not work with all games or all game modes.
