Can't play Minecraft Multiplayer because of account limitations

If he can't change the settings on the Xbox Family App, his account might be a minor's.

The Xbox account age starts from the Date of Birth you entered when creating your profile online.

Once you hit 18, it becomes an adult account automatically. Just make sure your birthday on the account is correct.

If the Date of Birth is correct, the best course of action is to contact Support and provide the necessary information to validate your date of birth.

Then, follow these steps:

I did set those settings for my son's profile, but when he goes into Minecraft, it still tell's him that he can't play multiplayer because of his account settings.

Any ideas?

Yes, you need Gold or Game Pass Ultimate (which includes Gold) in order to be able to play it online.

I have gold and still can't play multiplayer. Gives me the ''you cant play multiplayer games because of how your account is set up''.

I've tried things to do with my firewall, my account isn't a child one, following different guides online etc.. Been trying to fix this for two days now and i can't get it to work. It's not just on minecraft either, i have the same error when trying to play any multiplayer game

We've set the multiplayer as "allow", and the page says this should override age restrictions, but multiplayer just remains grayed out and when hovering over it it tells us to check our microsoft account settings... which we have.

Sorry this issue is such a mess.

I made my account year ago and i left so i dont know what happened but when im back and im playing Minecraft PocketEdition in multiplayer it say that i cannot join servers because of "You cannot play online multiplayer because of how your Microsoft
account is set up." Help?
