    Can't play Minecraft: "Accounts do not match"


    So I've finally migrated my Mojang account to a Microsoft Account, on my new Laptop (Haven't played since this Microsoft Account ****)but when I download the Launcher (From Windows store or Minecraft webpage, doesn't matter which one) I always get the message:

    "Konten in Microsoft Store und Launcher stimmen nicht überein"

    "Accounts in Microsoft Store and Launcher do not match"

    If I close this window and try to play Minecraft I get this error message:

    Tried launching as normal and as admin.

    Logging out of MS Store, Launcher and both at the same time and logging in again didn't help.

    (Checked multiple times: IT IS THE EXACT SAME ACCOUNT. Microsoft, Mojang and XBOX accounts are all linked)

    Uninstalled MS Store and Minecraft and reinstalled

    Restarted my Laptop in between each try

    Sorry to hear about what happened. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. I've actually encountered multiple cases regarding this issue. It seems to be a bug on Minecraft. If you've just migrated your account, I would suggest to wait and try it again at a later time. Be sure to completely setup your Xbox profile via https://account.xbox.com/Profile.

    The thing is the launcher is auto sign in by intself even after i reset my pc and the launcher so it might be using the old pssword and make it confuse but idk how to re-enter my password if it keeps automatically insert it

    Nothing to worry, in order to fix this we will perform some basic troubleshooting steps.

    Please sign out your accounts on the following:

    Xbox app

    account.microsoft.com

    account.xbox.com

    Microsoft Store

    Minecraft launcher

    Once you're done, kindly confirm if the Microsoft account you have has the Minecraft game license by signing your account on account.microsoft.com > go to Payment and Billing > then Order history.

    If you have already confirmed the Minecraft game license, re-sign in using the same account on:



    Xbox app

    account.microsoft.com

    account.xbox.com

    Microsoft Store

    Minecraft launcher

    Then try to access your account to Minecraft Launcher.
