Can't play m4v file on Xbox 360

Hi,

I have multiple m4v and avi files that I play on my 360, but I have one particular one that won't play and is giving me a Status code: 69-C00D36C4 message when I try to play it.

Why do some m4v files work while this one doesn't? I have other m4v files from the same set that work fine.

How can I correct this?

Media player freezing after 30 mins on Xbox one x

Update: My friend who has an Xbox One S confirms that he has the same exact problem that I do, but it only applies to .m4v video files. Apparently .mkv files play fine and do not experience any problems even for over an hour, but .m4v files will CONSISTENTLY
crash after about 25 minutes.

What is the format of the file= (mpg, m4v, wmv etc.)

I stream movies and stuff from my computer to xbox 360 all the time, hope they keep that feature but atm it sucks, the 360 can't play .mkv and many other common files types. hopefully the x1 can play any movie or music file.

You can't copy media files (or anything else) from a flash drive to the Xbox 360 console.

Instead, you simply insert the flash drive, and play the content directly from the USB drive.

The only thing you can transfer is content you downloaded through the Xbox 360 to the USB drive into it's container file and vice versa.

Stuff that is stored on the "normal" file system of an USB drive (like movies, pictures and MP3 files) can't be copied to the console.
