Can't play GTA Online & Gamepass help after Xbox transfer (Account, Data & Games)

If it says Game Pass for Console, then it is basic Game Pass and does not include the ability to play online multiplayer. You need either Game Pass Core (which is sorta the new enhanced Live Gold) or Game Pass Ultimate to play most online games.

What we can do here is provide/guide customers with possible troubleshooting steps for the issue.

Regarding your first issue, it's possible that your Xbox Live account needs to be updated with the new console information. To do this, please try signing out of your account and then signing back in. If the issue persists, it would be the best if you contact our dedicated Xbox Live support so that they can manually pull up your account and double check for further issue.

Please follow the steps below to reach out to our live support team:

1. Please use this link: Contact us | Xbox Support
2. Scroll down and look at the lower left side if you can see the page matches the country/region you are currently located.
3. If not, please select the country/region it is showing and select the correct one among the lists.
4. Make sure to use to check the available contact times of the support.
5. Select the "Contact Us" button
6. Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.
7. The next window will provide you with support articles based on your request and we recommend reviewing the relevant articles before selecting the "See contact options" button.
8. On the final window, you will be presented with multiple options. We suggest selecting either the "Chat online" or the "Request a call" options to speak with someone. Be sure to provide as much detail as possible.
9. If you cannot get connected to the support, please use the Virtual Agent and enter this exact phrase, "Talk to an agent".
10. Should you be encountering issues contacting support, you may try InPrivate Window of your browser, other browser, different device/s or connect to different network.



Regarding your second issue, you can share your Game Pass subscription with another account on the same Xbox by setting that account as your "home Xbox."

To do this, please follow these steps:



1. Sign in to the account that has the Game Pass subscription.

2. Go to Settings > Personalization > My home Xbox.

3. Select "Make this my home Xbox."

4. Sign out of that account and sign in to the other account on the same Xbox.

5. The other account should now have access to the Game Pass subscription.

I did that already, but my question was Can one gamepass subscription cover for two accounts that both play GTA Online? Or would the other account have to get a seprate gamepass, in order to play GTA Online?

Would a Factory Reset ever help or should I just do another Hard Reset?

If this don't work I'll see if I can call into Xbox Support so they can help me with this issue, This didn't bother me on my old Xbox One (2013), could go online without a hitch.

Xbox Live Gold no longer exists. Keep up with the service if you are supposed to be advising people.
