Can't play Gears

Was super hyped to be able to play GoW4, pre-ordered it, pre-installed it, booted it at midnight and wham: Error code:
GW401.

Something about incompatibility with my graphics card which is a Nvidia GTX 970. I do plenty of PC gaming and am running Windows 10. I have never come across any game ever that gave me this kind of issue with my graphics card. Anyway to resolve this? And
if not, how do I go about a refund?

Can you firstly please check that your graphics card drivers are fully up to date and there no updates required for Windows 10?

 

I tried updating my driver last night. An update was available but upon trying to download it an error appeared that the update was not compatible with Windows 10

 

I have the same graphics card, and have been enjoying Gears of War 4, so you should be able to.

Firstly, you need to make sure you're running the latest build of Windows 10 (Anniversary Update). For details on how to do that,

read this blog post.

You'll then also want to ensure your graphics card driver is up-to-date. So either download them manually, or open NVIDIA GeForce Experience and download/install them. Reboot your system after this.

Finally, you'll need to open Windows Store and download/install the latest update for Gears of War 4. This should be approximately 300-400mb in size, though it did take a while for mine to actually install; just bare with it.

You should then be good to go!
