    Cant play games with a certain friends


    Im able to play games with other friends but two it's not a nat type problem or anything to do with connection we haven't got each other blocked either we just cant play it's like Xbox doesn't want us playing together because they can play with are other friends but me andif this helps there accounts are new but there set up right this is getting really aggravating but if anyone can help with this we would appreciate it

    Hi there Tim welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. All of you should try the following and see if it fixed the issue!

    Open the Xbox Guide by pressing the guide button on the controller and select

    Settings.

    Select Network Settings.

    Select Advanced Settings.

    Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address.

    Select Clear.

    Allow the console to restart when prompted.

    I have the same problem when i try to play with a friend. I can connect with all my other friends. And he can join a party if someone else invites him. I have one router and have tried everything. Its annoying.

    okay thanks. if anyone else knows a sure solution to this please chime in. kinda annoying to unplug the ethernet from router 2 and into the xbox whenever i want to play with this friend
