Can't play games online using a shared GamePass Ultimate Subscription

Thanks, to be honest I thought this may have been an issue with the shared subscription. That when a user has the Gold that comes with Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Gamepass Ultimate, that when one user attempts to play online, then another user sharing that same subscription tries to play online with the same person is causes subscription authentication issues perhaps. So if you don't have live gold that comes with Xbox Gamepass Ultimate or just Gamepass which does not come with gold, it is trying to use your friend's subscription verification on your account while they are already using it.

However, if you both have access to Xbox live gold then that probably isn't happening. Could you clarify if you have just Gamepass or Xbox GamePass Ultimate?

Do not make the console your accounts "Home". Only make your mother's account "Home" on your console.

We understand that you want to manage your account and set the correct account as Home Xbox so that you can continue your gaming.

Basing on the statement above, I believe that you are not able to set the correct account as Home Xbox on the new console. Just a reminder, there are 5 Xbox Home switches every year. It would be the best if you set the correct account on the new console as Home Xbox.

I will be giving you steps on how you can set the correct account as Home Xbox on the new console.

Please log in using the account that has the active subscription.

1. Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.
   
3. Do either of the following to change the status of your console:
   
   • To make this your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox.
     
   • To remove this console as your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox and then Remove this as my home Xbox.

If "The Neighbourhood" is a online multiplayer mode, you need to have an active Gamepass Core or Gamepass Ultimate subscription to play online. It does not matter where you bought the game from, all paid games on Xbox require a Gamepass subscription to play online. Free to play games do not require a subscription to play online.
