    CAN'T PLAY GAMES ON MY HARD DRIVE


    Hi Folks! I need some help.

    I had to buy myself another 360 (which was preowned) back in August due to my previous Xbox getting the Red Ring of Death.

    Ever since then my brother (who had a profile on my previous Xbox 360) has not been able to play any of the games that I have downloaded onto my hard drive. We had problems downloading his profile on to my new Xbox to start with but we got it eventually.
    But we can't for the life of us figure out why he can't play the games on my hard drive. He hasn't actually downloaded or bought anything from the Xbox store as he does not have a Live account, he just plays the games that are already there. I don't know if
    that has anything to do with it. PLEASE HELP!!

    How do you choose play from hard drive?!

    I have all my games installed to the hard drive, but since the update I can't find the option to "play from hard drive." It's not longer pressing y on the disk drive, where did it go?!

    Hey thanks for the support and it doesn't have an account under the hard drive and I have the account on my flash drive but I can't play anything and I can't transfer my account from the flash to the hard drive..... Do I need a new hard drive!?

    You need to perform a license transfer to get your licenses on the new console.

    1. On your console, sign in to Xbox Live using the gamertag that you used to purchase the content.
    2. Go to the Settings and then select Account.
    3. Go to Your Billing Options, and then select Licence Transfer.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer the content licences.
    You'll have to redownload the games after doing the transfer, but since they are already on the hard drive you'll only be downloading the licenses and not the actual games so the downloads will go faster.

    You can't play a game off a flash drive, needs to be on the hard drive. You can use a flash drive for storage of games, but you need to transfer the game off the flash drive to the console hard drive in order to play a game.
