Can't play Fornite.... tells me I need Xbox live, but my subscription doesn't expire until ...

Pretty frustrated... My son is unable to play his game because it says I need xbox live to play fortnite.. our xbox live account does not expire until 2020.... we can see his friends online playing, so we are connected to the internet, but can't get into
fortnite.. please help

Can't use Xbox Live properly

I know my Live membership doesn't expire until February but when I try to play BF4 multilayer it tells me that I need an Xbox Live good membership but after a couple of tries it lets me play. The bigger problem is that i cant access any of the apps.

 

problems with live gold

Ok kind of having the same issue, when I log in online to my account it says my live subscription does not expire until 2/2017, but when i try to use it on the xbox it tells me i need to renew.

If the subscription shows, try the following steps

1. Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later). See here how to:

2. Turn off your console and unplug it for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and boot up.

3. Redownload your profile and try again in the game.

Peter I had the same exact issue for a week straight and was ticked. Yesterday I did what was mentioned up above as far as removing and replacing the xbox live account and that didnt work either. It wasnt until i “hard reset” (hold the power button on
your xbox for ~10 seconds to power down) and THEN unplugged it for a solid minute that it then worked. Dont know why, but it did. Try that

 

Still not working... I guess I will need to call support

Called support.. they reset something on their side, and they told me to follow the same steps as above, and it worked!
