A: The retail disc version of Microsoft Flight Simulator will be available in Europe only.

A: There will not be a separate achievement list. It will be shared across platforms.

A: The Play Anywhere is a new initiative by Microsoft to combine platforms of gaming, letting Xbox gamers play on PC with any first-party Microsoft Studios published
game that is digitally purchased and vice versa. Microsoft Simulator is an XPA title.

Q: Are there multiple editions of Microsoft Flight Simulator for sale?

A: Yes. You can purchase the Standard, Premium, and Deluxe Edition.

Q: Is it required to sign in to a Microsoft Account to play outside of Xbox One and Windows 10?

A: Yes, it is a requirement.

No you can't play FSX on console but a newer version of flight simulator that is being released later this year is currently in closed Beta. Only people signed up for the beta can participate.

I called Microsoft support. Their very helpful support expert resolved the problem for me.

I do not have complete documentation of what we did to resolve it.

I believe that we checked to see that I had Gaming Services.

Then we ran wsreset.exe.

You can search the internet for instructions for this. You may need to be in Administrator mode.

Then instead of using XBox Game Pass for PC (Beta), we installed XBox (Beta).

This worked.

The wording in the Flight Simulator announcement, as I read it, made me believe that I could start using Microsoft Flight Simulator now, using XBox Game Pass after loading XBox Game Pass for PC (Beta).

My understanding was not correct.

Once you get XBox Game Pass for PC (Beta) or XBox (Beta), which is the same thing, You will see that Microsoft Flight Simulator is available.

But, if you start to play it, it will state that you are too early. We have to wait for the release date of August 18, 2020, to play it.

From what I’ve found, microsoft flight simulator is planned for release on 18th august 2020. This date is for PC only, no confirmed date for console yet. It looks great, can’t wait to play.
