Can't play DVD's, it keeps on failing when i download the app

    Can't play DVD's, it keeps on failing when i download the app


    I just bought a Xbox one s Gear of war edition, and every time i try to download the blueray app it fails and tells me to log it on the website but when i go it tells me the code can not be found, the code it 0x0, or 0x000000 ( i dont know how many 0's there
    are) it won't let me play any dvd or blueray, it also randomly asks me to add a code when i am in the apps store. please let me know if there is any more details needed.

    Netflix download

    Code 0x80d05001, keeps coming up when i try and download Netflix and Blu-ray player to watch Dvd's

    A Semi-Quick Question.

    So I downloaded the Blu-Ray app quite a while ago and I like it a lot.

    But I've been wondering, since DVD's seem to play via the Blu-Ray app.. my question if I DIDN'T download the app would I still be able to watch DVD's and if so what app would it have used?

    Hey there kardchanger!

    Sorry to hear about the blu-ray app trouble! If you try cancelling the app's install and follow up with a power cycle (hold down the power button for 8-10 seconds), are you able to successfully install the app then? Keep us in the loop, we're happy to help

    Getting 0x80240013 "download stopped" as soon as I try to download the Blu-Ray app. This is my first gaming console and one of the main reasons for buying was due to it being able to play DVDs. Well, since the **** at Microsoft didn't put the app on the
    console out of the box and the **** can't seem to keep the app download working, I have an expensive paperweight that I would like to shove up someone's ass!!! Not impressed.

    Can you watch copied movies on the Xbox One S?

    As others have said, the blu ray player is just an app that you will need to download and keep up to date to play DVD's and Blu ray's.

    As for watching copied movies on it, I can't say if it works or not as I have never tried it, and never will, cause you know piracy and all.

    Is the xbox one worth it to play offline

    Xbox One is really made to be online. It'll be fine to play offline, but you won't get many apps and can't play DVDs/Blu Rays until you download that app.

    Exactly, seen this before people don't download the Blu-ray app because they are only trying to play standard DVD's. The system needs the app to play any format of DVD's
