    I used to have GamePass Ultimate, but since I didn't really played that many games, I cancelled my suscription and purchased my games on black friday. And all the other games work fine, except DbD. I open it and it says I need a suscription to gamepass, but on the microsoft store it says that I own that item and the payment was processed correctly. What can I do? I don't want to lose my data, I was pretty advanced in the game and had even purchased characters, outfits and other stuff. Already delted it and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work.

    sometimes the Game Pass tags get stuck and are not removed when you cancel your subscription, reinstalling the game usually fixes this. They are correct that in order to play the game you needed at least a Game Pass Cpre subscription as it is entirely online

    Please note that Dead by Daylight is a completely online game, so you need to have a Game Pass Core subscription (formerly known as Xbox Live Gold) or a Game Pass Ultimate subscription to be able to play it on an Xbox console. This requirement is necessary in order to play any online game on the console, except for Free-to-Play games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, among others.

    Dead by Daylight: When did having GP Ultimate become a known requirement for playing direct-purchased XBOX platform games?

    There is no deception or scam here. Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer only title and as such requires either Xbox Live Gold or GamePass Ultimate to play.
