Can't play: can't set the very first gamertag, thus can't play any games.

I have a microsoft account which I've used a lot in the past. I just bought Forza Horizon 5 for PC on Steam, my very first X-box game.
It asked me to log in into xbox and won't let me play unless I do so, but the issue is that when I login, the last window where you enter your gamer tag and select your profile picture doesn't work. There's a "Let's GO" button there but pressing it won't do anything.
I tried the web version after some research online - https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag but it's the same window and it doesn't work. I have some technical knowledge, so I opened my browser's console and the error is the following:

But I never associated anything with my account and I try different gamertags, even random ones provided by the system. Still won't work.
Please set any gamertag to my account, I just want to play Forza.

Hello,

Try resetting your console by holding the power button on the console for a full 10 seconds until it's completely shut down. Turn it on and try again. I've had to do this two times in a row to get it to work before, but it worked. Let us know if it helps.

Maybe your xbox needs a reballing, that same thing happened to me with a xbox360
