Cant play any games on game pass despite having the subscription.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please sign out of both the Xbox app and the Microsoft Store, then sign back in using only this one account where you bought the subscription.

And then uninstall and then reinstall the Xbox App in order for the corrupted files will be deleted.

Next is to reset Microsoft Store by running the command wsreset.exe from the Run dialog (press Win + R) which clears out any corrupted data.

Then confirm your subscription status and double-check that your subscription is active and correctly linked to your account by visiting https://account.microsoft.com>; Services and subscription

After that is to disable any VPN or Proxy temporarily because network routing through such services can interfere with license of the subscription and the game.

Any games with Game Pass can only be played while you have an active subscription and the games are included with Game Pass. If you want to keep playing the games after your subscription ends, you have to buy the game.

You should be able play together without a problem.

WHich is the problem that the OP posted for as they cannot play at the same time despite having separate Game Pass Subscriptions and separate Consoles

You need to have a Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to access Game Pass games any you want to play.

Once you're in, click the "Connection" on the left panel to confirm if your Xbox profile is linked.

Once you confirmed it, try logging out from your EA app and relaunching it, and click the Xbox icon to log in.

And if it still won't work, check your Microsoft store app if you're logged in using the same account, if not and you're game sharing the subscription on the account that is currently logged in on the Microsoft Store app, unfortunately, only the account that has the subscription can access EA play.
