Can't play any EA games on my account

I've made this account well over 10 years ago and everything has been fine until a few days ago. I tried playing the Battlefield 2042 trial on EA play for the rewards in the rewards app and it said I was banned. I don't know how that would have been possible since I don't even play any EA games except for rewards that are on the rewards app. I don't cheat and I don't even use my mic. I put in a ticket with EA and that problem was resolved almost immediately. Fast forward a few days and I try getting back on the trial for another achievement because a new reward popped up for the game on the rewards app. Upon pressing A to log in on Battlefield 2042 I kept getting a message that it's been a while since I've logged in and my password has to be reset. It said that they sent a password reset to *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** and that isn't my email. I've had the same 2 emails for about 18 years and that is not one of them.

I tried talking with EA support and they say that they can't help me unless I can tell them the email and they said that my account wasn't hacked because there hasn't been any email changes.

I don't know if my Xbox account was just linked to EA through a different email somehow recently, or if my EA account was hacked or what. Either way I can't get passed the title screen on any EA game on my account all of a sudden.

From my researching this problem, I've noticed a few others having this same issue, and there doesn't seem to be anything anyone can do because Microsoft and EA don't work together. If that is the case then why are we getting Game Pass quests and tasks on the rewards app that has to do with EA games.

Is there something I can do even if I don't care about getting my EA account back (if that is even the issue). I'd like to relink my Xbox account to a new EA account or something. The fact that I can't play any EA games on my 12+ year old Xbox account all of a sudden is a bit frustrating.

Yeah, it's kind of annoying that they don't reach out to try and sort something like this out. The fact that some people literally bought EA games and can't play them is a bit absurd to do nothing about.

I had the same issue when EA play came to Game Pass for PC. I forgot the account it was linked to and EA was unable to help me, I reached out to Xbox support and they said "Unlinking accounts from your Xbox account is only designated to those platforms support and Microsoft cannot assist with this."

Hopefully you find a way around this.

I understand that, but I think Microsoft should try to reach out to EA on behalf of us that have this issue. We obviously have access to our Xbox accounts and if we can't play any EA games that we bought, I think that is a huge issue. They refuse to fix it for us so I think Microsoft should step in and reach out on our behalf.

I'm having the same problems. Been playing EA games for over 10 years with no problems. Then it looks like EA has done a forced password reset on me and now anytime I open an EA game it gives me a messaging asking me to reset my password. But when I check my email (one based on the Xbox account and various others I've had over the years) there is no reset password email.

I have reached out to EA support multiple times over the phone through 1800 978 320 found this number after hours of digging on their site. They often aren't available or have hold times of 20 mins+. They ask me to either provide the email which they are saying is wrong and not linked to my Xbox account or verify my account by providing personal details which are then wrong because I don't even remember setting up an EA account let alone entering my details. One support person was also exceptionally rude and hung up on me.

So I have lost access to various EA titles I've bought over the years, my EA play game pass access and any saved progress or achievement progress. I've seen others with this same problem popping up on various forums too so it seems to be quite a common problem. At this stage I would be happy just unlink my old EA account and create a new one, taking the hit on the lost games and progress.

Their customer support (at least from chatting over the internet) is terrible. I just don't understand how I can't do anything if I have full access of my Xbox account. Can't even sign in using my Xbox account because it says my credentials have expired and EA can't do anything because Microsoft and EA don't have access to each other's resources. I think this is an issue only Microsoft can step and and get help with because they won't help us without Microsoft stepping in.
