    Can’t perform a soft factory reset


    Hi guys,

    My xbox had some troubles last night with connecting to my live account. I tried everything to fix it but nothing worked. My wifi is fine, the xbox says so as well. I found another post where the person had tried a soft factory reset and that worked for
    him. I tried it but I am stuck after the first step, connecting to wifi. My xbox says it needs to update, but that something is wrong. I can’t find the code (8B0500B6) for the error on xbox help.

    Does anyone know what to do?

    password does not save, kinect doesn't log me in.

    Just to get it out there, holding down the power button for 8 seconds is a "Soft reset"... a "hard reset" is performing a factory reset.

    Thanks for your post! If reinstallation has not helped with the crashing issue produced by NBA 2K19, try uninstalling the game, performing a soft factory reset on the console, and then reinstalling the game. To perform a soft factory reset, check out:

    Xbox One Factory Reset     remember to uninstall before performing the reset, keep your Microsoft Account information handy to sign back in, and choose to
    "Reset and keep my games & apps" to prevent other applications and games from being uninstalled during the reset.

    I tried the soft factory reset and it reset but once I got to where i had to connect to wifi, i put in the correct wifi password and it still said i can’t connect. Should i do the the factory reset and delete all the data?
